DEMO FOR CAMBRIAN ART CLUB

Here is the painting I did as a demonstration for the Cambrian Art Club in San Jose, California.  Actually, this is how the painting was finished .  I had to move the right eye over a tad.  I wasn't sure if it was possible since I was using thalo blue, but fortunately I was able to do so.  Here is the painting after the demo.
I have to work flat so I am never sure how it looks until it is dry and I can stand it up. This was a good start but it needed some serious work. You can see the adjustments I made.  I am happy with the final results.

I love your blog and have found it so informative since I have been following it, but I'm wondering how you made the adjustments to the painting that you mentioned. Did you pull the colour out with a wet brush/tissue, or did you collage over the area you wanted to change and repaint it?

She is one of my personal favorites, Myrna. I loved her whe you first did her, and I still do. I see you were able to wipe out som color on her blouse, which works beautifully. I am intrigued with how you worked on the face with the Tyvek. I am trying moreand more Tyvek, and "learning" thatPLACE where I start to overwork. You have kept thisone so fresh. Love it!

Truely beautiful. Looking at your work makes me think of: Heinrich Kley. Wow!
